Meet The Middle School Team

  • Ms. Katelyn Starr, M.Ed

    MATH AND SCIENCE TEACHER STARR@STPETERNEWCASTLE.ORG

This is my first year at St. Peter and I am so excited to join the school community! I earned a Bachelor’s degree in biology and a Master’s degree in educational leadership (along with my teaching certification) from Immaculata University. One of my life’s greatest blessings has been spending time in the classroom - I love being a teacher. In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, curling up with a good book, or spending time with family and friends.

  • Dr. James Rick, PhD

    SOCIAL STUDIES, P.E., & HEALTH RICK@STPETERNEWCASTLE.ORG

I’m excited to return for my second year at St. Peter to teach social studies and P.E. This summer I taught a class about the Civil War at the College of William and Mary where I finished my PhD in history last year. My favorite thing about teaching is getting to explore interesting ideas and learn great stories with all kinds of students.

  • Ms. Madison Schulz

    ENGLISH TEACHER SCHULZ@STPETERNEWCASTLE.ORG

Hello, my name is Ms. Schulz and I will be teaching ELA for middle school beginning this year. I come from a Catholic education background and am eager to give back to the Diocese that gave me a wonderful education! When I'm not teaching English, I can be found teaching merit badge classes in the summer for Scout BSA.

  • Mrs. Sol Ibarra-Cohen

    SPANISH & THEOLOGY TEACHER IBARRA@STPETERNEWCASTLE.ORG

I am thrilled to embark on this incredible journey as I begin my first year teaching at St. Peter the Apostle! My name is Sol Ibarra-Cohen, and I couldn't be more excited to join this vibrant community. As a Mexican native language speaker, I bring a rich cultural background to the classroom, and I am ready to share my passion for teaching with all of you!
